Here are some of our events and programs in this School Year:
Harvest Festival
The first event of the new school year invites families to meet each other and have fun on an autumn weekend. Games, crafts, music, a haunted house, and our very own Neighborhood Café are all part of the fun
Season of Giving,
Join the holiday spirit by giving. This bake sale raises money for a different charitable organization each year.
Scholastic Book Fairs and Book Drives,
Everyone is invited to the in-school book sales.
Williamsburg Kite Festival,
Kids Fun and Kites! Come to McCarren Park for this outdoor community extravaganza that includes all day entertainment, crafts, games, food concession, handmade kite sales, a kite hospital and tons of family fun.
School Carnival,
Yeah! Celebrate another successful school year at our street carnival just for P.S. 132 students and their families.
Recycling
P.S. 132 Recycles and so can you. Donate your ink cartridges and help raise money.
Box Tops
Help us collect General Mills box tops! P.S. 132 receives 10 cents for each coupon returned.
Crazy Hat Day
Share your creativity while celebrating math and the 100th day of school.
Read Across America
Get comfy for a day of pajamas and favorite books. Surprise readers volunteer in every class and everyone shares in the joy of reading.
The PTA depends on you and other volunteers from the P.S. 132 community to make our programs happen. We bring our families together, fundraise to support academic enrichment, and directly support our schools' curricula. Monthly meetings are an open forum for parents and teachers to exchange ideas and to stay informed of all school activities.
SCHOOL LEADERSHIP TEAM
The School Leadership Team is comprised of parents, teachers and administrators who represent the community at P.S. 132. The members are responsible for both dissemination of information from the SLT meetings and representing the concerns of the greater school community.
The School Leadership Team works collaboratively to create the best educational, social, and financially responsible environment at P.S.132. Through regular review of new solutions and analysis of current programming, we are committed to providing a stimulating environment nurturing the future generation of creative thinkers, problem solvers and guardians of our earth and community.
The School Leadership Team is responsible for the development of the Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP) and the budget.
